Join us for a fun song-and-dance romp through your favourite Disney movies, including The Lion King, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, and many more!  Try on amazing costumes, and become Belle, Simba, or Ariel!  Learn to sing and dance to the best Disney songs of all time, and put it all together in an extravaganza show on stage!  A wonderful introduction to musical theatre for our younger “stars-in-the-making!”

Let’s celebrate together the 20^th anniversary of the Stewart Park Festival by putting together an extravaganza of music from around the world!  We will choose songs from different countries, design and don costumes for each, learn singing and dancing styles, and create musical accompaniment (including elaborate percussion) for each of our choices, then perform them live onstage at the Festival!  A fiesta of rhythm, colour, dance and song!  A definite highlight of the summer – don’t miss it!

The Perth Academy Gilbert and Sullivan show is back by popular demand!  Swashbuckling pirates, beautiful (and tough!) damsels, mistaken identities, uproarious comedy, romance, swordfighting, a plethora of interesting characters, and an operatic Gilbert and Sullivan score make this a workshop not to be missed!  Join us on the high seas (and high C’s!) for the most fun you’ll have all summer!

Disney’s High School Musical 2

The gang's all here for an action-packed summer extravaganza as Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats finish junior year and blast onto the summer scene. At the Lava Springs Country Club, Sharpay reigns supreme while the Wildcats get to work - literally! Keeping every ounce of the light-hearted fun that makes High School Musical a household name, this buoyant sequel takes on the questions of real kids facing the realities of the adult world. Friendships are tested, summer romances go haywire, and the meaning of success is redefined.  Rockin' songs, action-packed dance numbers ... it’s all here!

FAME

It is nothing short of a global phenomenon. First came the hit motion picture, then the long-running television series, then the recent blockbuster film. Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts, "Fame-The Musical" is bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today: issues of prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance.  The PAMT staff plan to deal with these issues in constructive and positive ways through discussion and acting.  With incredible music and fabulous dance numbers, "Fame-The Musical" is indeed "gonna live forever."

Rock ‘n’ Roll is Here to Stay!

An all-singing, all-dancing workshop with tons of energy!  This lively musical medley show incorporates a slew of rock ‘n’ roll songs, dances and costumes from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and today!  Including favourites such as Help, Leavin’ on a Jet Plane, Wild Wild West, All Shook Up, and tens of others, this high-energy show will be a fantastic way to liven up the summer!

Disney’s Jungle Book

Workshop:  August 30 - Sept. 3

Performance: September 3

Ages 4 – 12

The jungle is jumpin' with jazz in this exciting Disney classic! Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like "The Bare Necessities," and "I Wan'na Be Like You." With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book is certain to charm and delight performers and audience alike!

PAMT Idol!

The most amazing experience you’ll ever have!

This intensive workshop will focus on vocal and dance technique, taught by a team of professional voice and dance teachers from the community.  Each participant will take part in both group and private lessons to help hone and refine their talents.  Please note that this is a very focussed workshop, designed for those who intend to seriously pursue the performing arts as a career, or who wish to develop their skills at an advanced level.  Participants will apply techniques learned to two solo songs, chosen for their appropriateness in range and style. The workshop culminates with a performance judged (constructively, and not harshly!) by local experts and celebrities.

The winner of PAMT Idol will receive additional private voice, dance, and image coaching to prepare them to perform in their own full concert at the Myriad Centre!

Please note that this workshop MUST have 12 participants in order to proceed - if you plan to register, please do so by Saturday, June 26 at the latest - we will make an official decision as to whether or not the workshop will run based on the number of participants by this date.

Payment Policy:

A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at registration.  Full balance of fees is due at the registration deadline date.  Please note that all fees are non-refundable after the registration deadline.  Payment may be made by mailing a cheque or money order, by phoning (613) 267-9610 with a VISA or Mastercard, or by coming into the Myriad Centre, and paying by Cash, Cheque, Debit or Credit Card, during our posted office hours. 

Registrations received after the deadline will be subject to a $25 late registration fee, and will only be accepted if a space remains in the program.
